Digital Runaway first began life in 2015 as an offshoot of successful music based website RockFusion Online with the intention of being an alternative to all the mainstream, advert fuelled, clickbait entertainment sites that seemed to rule the internet back then…
And by the looks of things, nothing has changed there.
After a successful few months from January to June 2015 covering the Glasgow Film Festival, Digital Runaway really hit its stride in around April of that year by landing an in-depth interview with Terry Dresbach, costume designer on the hit TV Show, Outlander.
By the summer of 2015, the site was ready for a full re-launch with new artwork and logos and the months of previously accumulated content was set to be archived to make way for the future but then, the real world crept up on us and for the past few years Digital Runaway has lay dormant.
Until now…
Building on our previous experience both as Digital Runaway and RockFusion Online (combined with the boredom of lockdown) we are back in business with the same passion and dedication as before but this time, we’re doing to be doing things a little different.
We aim to start small this time with just one article a week. While writing and creating content may be like riding a bike, if the last few years has taught me anything I fully expect a shaky start to that ride.
For the remainder of 2021 we want to slowly start bringing you the Digital Runaway of the past with top quality content aimed at the people of Scotland (and beyond) with a little something for everyone.
From podcasts to film reviews, interviews and special features, blog entries, photo galleries and more… Digital Runaway aim to be a dominant online force for years to come.
