Website Update: June 2021

As we enter June we come the end of another successful little month here at Digital Runaway.

Looking forward to the month ahead will bring more reviews, opinion pieces, blog posts and I’m hoping to slip in another interview in there as well. At the end of the month we’ll also be introducing our new Festival Preview feature which aims to highlight some of the best music festivals currently on offer here in Scotland.

First up, we’ll be previewing Wildfire Festival which is currently scheduled for the end of July.

One little issue we have found over the last few weeks is the discrepancy in film release dates between ourselves here in the UK and the rest of the world.

Unfortunately, although we may only just be getting a film now, it has been out elsewhere for a few days and on occasion, even a few months. We’re hoping this won’t impact our site visits too much but we may have to address the issue down the road if these staggered releases become the new normal.

It also seems that any issues we’ve been having with our Post Counter have resolved themselves and although the overall site numbers have taken a slight dip, I now believe them to be way more accurate that they have been but for the most part we’re still on an upward trend.

There have also been a number of posts this month that have been typed up and released within a day of each other with the bank holiday weekend at the end of May being a particularly busy time for us. As such, if there’s been any dip in quality in the reviews recently I’d like to apologise for that. I’m not making excuses, but sometimes it is easy to miss basic mistakes when writing, editing and quality checking articles yourself.

I’m hoping to tighten things up a bit throughout June, not in terms of quantity but more in terms of quality so we’ll see what happens as we move into the summer. In the meantime, thank you for taking the time to visit Digital Runaway and be sure to follow us on Social Media to stay up to date with all our new posts.
